Day 14: "Black Water" (2018)

The 14th Damme Day:

"Black Water" (2018)

Reunited for probably the 5th time, JCVD and Dolph Lundgren shoot up the screen in this action spy movie about a deep cover operative escaping from a CIA black site on a submarine.

The best I can describe it is it's pretty much "Under Siege" but on a submarine and with a way smaller budget.
My favorite thing about this one is seeing these two aging action stars I grew up idolizing on the big screen perform together again. Even at their current age they can still make a decent film. I didn't think it was great, but it was enjoyable.

More gunfire than martial arts but they both gave good performances. Lots of plot twists that kept the story engaging and a couple of pretty women too. Kris Van Damme, JCVD's son, has a role in this film with his father.

I give this one a 5 out of 10. I liked it.

I'll catch you on my next Damme review!
