The Sixteenth Damme Day:

"Wake of Death" (2004)

In this film, JCVD plays a mob enforcer whose wife is brutally murdered, and son is kidnapped by the Chinese triad.
All he has left is his mission of vengeance, and they will pay dearly for what the have taken from him. This film is loaded with gun action, martial arts, and tough guy antics, but not as much flashy JCVD style fighting we are used to.

This is one film where JCVD's acting shines just through his face and eyes with incredible determination. You can feel his pain and angst as he systematically works his way up the triad ladder killing everyone in his path as he tries to find and kill their boss.
I thought it was a good movie and decent outing for the Muscles from Brussels. His acting seems to get better with age, like a fine wine. Lol. I'll give it a 4 out of 10. It's not my favorite of his films by a long shot, but it's not the worst either.

Check it out and let me know how you liked it.
I'll catch you on my next Damme review.
