The 19th Damme Day:
"Enemies Closer" (2013)
This is a totally different kind of movie for JCVD. In this outing he plays the bad guy.
He's a sadistic, comical, homicidal maniac. He does a pretty good job playing this loony Canadian French drug dealer who seems to kill people for pleasure.
His comical hairdo reminds me of the Heat Meiser from those old Rankin and Bass Christmas animated movies. Lol. The movie stars Tom Everett Scott (American Werewolf in Paris) and Orlando Jones (Evolution).
It's about a plane carrying lots of drugs that goes down in a huge lake just off an Island that's a U.S. national park near the U.S./Canadian border.
Canadian drug dealers, led by JCVD, come to the Island to retrieve the drugs from the downed plane, but are up against a park ranger who happens to be an ex Army special forces commander.
The movie turns into a island-wide cat and mouse hide and seek game between murderous drug dealers and the park ranger and his associate.

Although it's not a martial arts outing for JCVD, he still delivers some cool moves as he comically kills people almost slasher film style.
I thought it was a descent film, not the best but very enjoyable. I rank it a 6 out of 10. It's definitely worth a watch. Check it out and let me know what you think.
I'll catch you on my next Damme review!
